The Glory of God Is a Person FULLY ALIVE !*
*St. Irenaeus, theologian of the second century A.D.
An online retreat prepared by Eleanor Lincoln, CSJ, and Catherine Litecky, CSJ Women at the Well Ministry (C) copyright 2007
This online retreat will give you the opportunity to reflect on how everyone is called to live in the glory of God. You will pray with six great figures in Christianity who show how to be "fully alive" in and for the glory of God. Click on any of the parts to start the retreat.
Part 1 - How to be fully alive in God's glory!
Part 2 - Paul the Apostle (1st century A.D.) who set Christianity on its course
Part 3 - Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) who saw God in all creation
Part 4 - Francis of Assisi (1182?-1226) who lived the glory of God in all things
Part 5 - Julian of Norwich (1342-1416) who knew Love in everything
Part 6 - Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) who was both scientist and mystic
Part 7 - Dorothy Day (1897-1980) who worked for peace through love
Read/reflect/pray at your own pace as you begin to acquaint or reacquaint yourself with each of these fully alive persons. Before you begin each part of the retreat take time to breathe deeply, to quiet yourself by sitting comfortably, lighting a candle, and perhaps putting a picture or a plant in front of you.
